Artist of the Mind

Art is the mind's attempt to express its genius in the physical form. The computer is just another avenue for that brilliant expression. The computer offers the artist a kind of freedom, freedom from the limitations of the materialistic and physical world. They grant the artist the awesome power to create new worlds, compose unique personalities, and shatter the very boundaries of reality...

Science is the mind's attempt to understand itself and the world around it. The computer is another method for that endless pursuit of knowledge. The computer gives science order, the order that they've craved for all of eternity, to organize, to visualize and to analyze based on the wonders and limitations of reality...

So what happens when art meets science?

Why, only wonderful things...

Things like 3D rendering. When art and science fuse to create a something unique to either but invaluable to both.

A scientist might render the pipe layout of a oil drilling site in Azerbaijan to help him visualize the maximum flow rate of crude in the pipes. An artist might have the desire to render a fantastic world of alien creatures under the frozen surface of Europa; 3D rendering at work, and at play...

3D rendering refers to the act of creating realistic or abstract objects and environments using a computer. The rendering process is based on the manipulation of polygon geometry, fractal patterns, matrix transforms, textual design, surface mapping and in some cases, artistic talent.

So there you have it, the art, science, and sappy truth of 3D rendering.
